BREAKING NEWS: First ‘Paperless Access’ Used Andy Bowdoin In Video Pitch; Company Now Insults Members In Email Pitch

UPDATED 12:29 P.M. EDT (U.S.A.) The controversial video from upstart surf company Paperless Access starring Andy Bowdoin went missing after enraging ASD Members, and now the firm is insulting members in brand-new ways.

In yet another impossibly butchered communication from the surf world, Paperless Access said it wanted ASD’s top downline  sponsors to make back money lost in ASD, insisting that they were under no pressure to enroll.

Here is part of a mixed message Paperless Access registrants received (emphasis added):

“With this opportunity and our help, you can personally earn thousands of dollars per month. You owe it to yourself and your downline to register for one of the Webinars below. There are only 18 top leadership spots available on a first come first serve basis. If you don’t want to participate, that is fine and there is no pressure. We are only going to work with those Leaders that want to help their downline be successful. There are hundreds of leaders that are waiting to take your place but we want to work with you.”

Why those “hundreds of leaders” purportedly waiting to register hadn’t actually registered wasn’t made clear. Also unclear was why Paperless Access chose to say there was “no pressure,” and then instantly began applying pressure. Why Paperless Access would suggest people who didn’t want to bother with building a downline or working to build an existing downline were unwelcome to register for the prelaunch also wasn’t clear.

The Paperless Access message appears to have been directed only to top recruiters, not rank-and-file ASD members, some of whom lost tens of thousands of dollars by believing in ASD and representations made by their upline sponsors.

Here is another part of a message recruiters received from Paperless Access (Italics added):

You have been chosen for this invitation to begin the journey with us to reconstitute the member network. You have demonstrated leadership in the creation of a group of at least 15 personally sponsored individuals and a total group size of more than 1,000 members. Your sponsor may not have been invited if your group is 90% of the total in your sponsor’s group. The information shared in this Private Launch is for your eyes only so that we can keep the lines of sponsorship intact for your maximum financial benefit.

Two separate messages appear to have gone out, according to “Joe,” a former ASD member.

“I used my ASD email address to test if they indeed did have the ASD database and sure enough they do,” Joe said. “I think this page is customized based on the # of referrals I had . . .  in ASD, as I was able to retrieve another version which talks about leadership positions. The webpage must have backend code which checks the database for # of referrals and then based on a certain level, serves up one of these 2 pages.”

Here is what “Joe” said he received, with the URLs listed (italics added):

Welcome to the Private Launch for Paperless Access, Inc.

Our goal is to recreate the old network line of sponsorships and provide continuing opportunities for the members, that lost money, to earn that money back. Even though you may not have lost money, there will be many in your group that will join to recoup their money.

This is your opportunity to start with Paperless Access and help your group in this effort. We are looking for the first 18 Leaders that will work with us to actively contact their members and help them earn back their losses. We only sent out 60 invitations.

Our plan is simple – putting more money back into the hands of Viewers. We are not selling “advertising”, or investments, or offering rebates to the Viewers. We are presently offering five+ ways to earn money – three of which are:

1. Viewing advertising and sharing in the Sales Revenue from Outside Advertising Sales
2. Viewing advertising and sharing in the Network Bonus Revenue generated from Business Building programs
3. Viewing advertising to receive the Monthly Reward Bonus for participation in the Viewer Network

Sales Revenue will only go so far in generating the millions of dollars required to recoup legal losses. We need something bigger and more powerful and something we can plug the entire network into within 30 to 60 days. We found the first of many Business Building opportunities which will be introduced this evening.

With this opportunity and our help, you can personally earn thousands of dollars per month. You owe it to yourself and your downline to register for one of the Webinars below. There are only 18 top leadership spots available on a first come first serve basis. If you don’t want to participate, that is fine and there is no pressure. We are only going to work with those Leaders that want to help their downline be successful. There are hundreds of leaders that are waiting to take your place but we want to work with you. The first step is to register for the Webinar below. At the conclusion of the Webinar there will be a website address and phone numbers to get more information and get started. 3. The mods at “surf’s up” are flogging AVG, PA is at best a competitor to them.

  4. Hi Mark,

Mark kreiling: just took a quick look at “surf’s up” as of 11:00 cst on march 28th no mention of this new company

At least three Surf’s up threads dealing with Paperless Access were deleted. Another thread was closed to comments.

  5. Hi Mark,

Mark kreiling: anybody know why this man (andy) has not been arrested yet?

Only the prosecutors know the answer to this question. What’s generally known is that the filing of criminal charges starts a clock ticking.

The clock can limit the time needed to conduct and complete a comprehensive investigation.

This case appears to have numerous tentacles.

Perhaps put on a prosecutor’s hat for a moment and ask yourself this question:

Given the nature of this case, given the fact that multiple parties are involved, given the fact that we suspect racketeering violations, is there any benefit to charging Bowdoin before all potential racketeering entities are known?

  6. All this leader and leadership guff sounds very much like the stuff trotted out by the surfs up mods when they were recruiting for one or other of their scams a while back. Wizzard7 aka Don was one of those chosen for his leadership qualities at that time. Perhaps he remembers more about it than I do?

  7. Those who want to understand the “clock ticking” issue that may be keeping Andy out of jail for the time being may want to Google “Speedy Trial Act”. This law deals with the fact that, upon being arrested, Americans are entitled to a speedy trial.

Failure of the authorities to meet the requirements of the Speedy Trial Act have resulted in convictions being overturned – and guilty people being deemed innocent because the legal process took too long. It’s an amazing subject, one I’d never heard of until just recently.

  8. They also have a site that is being purposely hidden from search engines under the .com extension for what it’s worth.

  9. Pistol, or should I say UncleFesta. No one has missed you.

  10. While that may be true, he is still a pistol. At least he got a moniker this time that fits.

  11. Wow, I can’t believe you are still spouting that nonsense, Festa. I can guarantee you none of my bank accounts (1) have been seized by the Secret Service, nor have approached by the Moderators for any leadership position. You took one comment Laura or someone made in passing and blew it out of proportion. Must be really boring in Scotland, try satellite TV, and stop making up things to amuse yourself, ya wanker.

  12. Additional info about PaperlessAccess:

After attending the 20 minute webinar and visiting the PaperlessAccess.com website (must have the same email address used in ASD) here are some details.

COO is Judith Walling, Paul Walling not identified but surely has some role with this.

Webinar was boring and non informative. Incorporated in Wyoming.

Website has a wealth of information.

One main hook is the special offer during the private launch. On the Home Page is the following:

“If you had income seized by the government for buying advertising or you know someone who has, we have a special message for you.
For a limited time during this Private Launch, Paperless Access is offering to reserve an income stream for Viewers with legal advertising losses who perform the required Viewing Services.”

“During the Private Launch we have a Special Offer for you to earn extra income so you can recover your Legal Advertising Losses (LALs). Along with regular Viewer income opportunities, Paperless Access will set aside specific Network Revenue to pay only Viewers with legal Advertising Losses so that they can recover their losses faster.”

“The Special Offer 1) Qualify for Preferred Compensation to retire legal Advertising Losses and 2) Qualify to reinstate your line of sponsorship for future opportunities.”

    1. Join Paperless Access during Private Launch.

    2. Mail in Proof of Purchase. Copies of your cash spent on advertising expense (money order receipts, bank statements, copies of cashed checks, credit card statements, etc.) to determine your legal Advertising Losses which will be entered as a Legacy amount LAL in your Viewer Account.

To support those Viewer Accounts with Legal Advertising Losses (LALs):

3.Join ACN as a Customer or as an Independent Representative within the Paperless Access Network downline.

Not one mention of ASD, Golden Panda or La Fuente, but after signing up it does have the my ID and referrer ID I had in ASD listed, so it is all inferred.

    Five ways to Earn:

    1. Viewer Compensation – Eligible Viewers get paid for Viewing from last week’s Advertising Sales Revenue. Called the Viewer Compensation, 70% of Sales Revenue is paid to Viewers for Viewing Advertising. Must view 25 websites, 15 seconds each, 5 out of 7 days in a viewing week from M-Sun. NO ADVERTISING PURCHASES ALLOWED. Monthly admin fee of $15- Advertise 0 to 1 site in rotator, $20- Advertise 2 sites in rotator, $25- Advertise 3 sites in the rotator.

    2. Monthly Bonus – After paying your first Maintenance Fee, Viewers can also earn a promotional bonus for completing 4 Viewing Weeks in a calendar month.

    3. Increased Business – By showing your website to other Viewers, your business exposure creates an opportunity to market your business and create sales.

    4. Redirect for Bonus Income – By joining Business Building Opportunities with Paperless Access, Viewers can Redirect existing purchases to earn monthly bonuses and residual income. All from products you are already using.

    5. Network Revenue Bonus – Another 85% of all bonus income earned by Paperless Access from the Viewer Network’s participation is paid directly to the Viewer Network.

The Sales Revenue generated from selling advertising is used to pay for operating expenses and that includes YOU! The biggest allocation of revenue goes to pay the Viewer Network for viewing ads. Sales cost is 15% of revenue, general expense is 15% of revenue and 70% of Sales Revenue is distributed to YOU, the Viewer Network. This revenue sharing is unprecedented for any company.

The Network Revenue Bonus is paid to Paperless Access from our Business Builder companies as a result of Viewer participation in building their own businesses. A whopping 85% of this income stream is paid to Viewers in addition to the Sales Revenue. This is income stream #4 and #5 available to you by simply changing your existing purchases to your own business.

So the supplemental income streams (Network Revenue Bonus) will be existing companies you can join under the sponsorship of PaperlessAccess inc. In otherwords help them build a big MLM downline or affiliate network in certain companies.

First one is ACN. Other listed are:

Greenback Street (sounds familiar does it not)

    GeneWize- coming soon

    InLife

    Straight Edge Marketing

    Bizpack

    Local Ad Link- coming soon

    Becoming An Advertiser:

“Paperless Access is always looking for new Advertisers. You can help and get paid too! We pay a sales force to find advertisers to place ads with Paperless Access. You could earn a portion of the sales commission for referring an advertiser to our Sales Department. What you can earn. The sales commission is 15% of the sale. For referring a quality prospect that is already sold on the idea of advertising to the Viewer Network, you would earn 5% of the sale. That’s one-third of the sales commission for you!”

Now the TOS specifically talks about not allowing certain types of sites not allowed:

High Yield Investment Programs (HYIP’s), auto-surfing, auto-surf relating content, illegal matrix, pyramid or ponzi schemes, get rich quick schemes, Gifting and other similar ventures. We do not allow website or rotator advertising of HYIP websites, get rich quick scheme websites, dangling money advertising websites, or the like. If the website does not promote a real business, such as selling of goods or services, or promoting a legitimate informational website, then the website will be rejected. If you have a site that offers a legitimate program that the public could earn income from, then that landing page in our rotation must be toned down and explain the facts and not focused on get rich quick concept. Any enticing or alluring advertising just to gain someone’s information or money will be rejected and not be allowed in the rotation.

Additionally, All Websites shown on the Rotator must be approved by PAi and decisions are final. However I found 7 out of 25 sites that violated the TOS.

28 percent of the sites already are in violation, according to your observation.

They’re off to a good start, it seems.

Man o man I bet AVG wishes they thought of that angle first. Barb and the other Surf’s up mods better keep their fingers on the delete post button once word of this hits their forum. I love the acronym LAL, very nice touch. Too bad they mucked up the rest with an overly complicated explanation of the overly complicated payment plan otherwise I’d give whoever wrote the copy a big thumbs up.

  15. GlimDropper,

Did you catch the built-in “catch” that PA can use to never actually pay those who lost $$$ in ASD? They use the phrase “legal advertising losses,” but of course the ASD funds were anything but legal advertising, so I guess the losses in ASD don’t count……nor in AVG, CEP, ad infinitum….
