BREAKING NEWS: Another Pro Se Pleading Using Curtis Richmond Template Filed In AdSurfDaily Case
UPDATED 5:44 P.M. EDT (U.S.A.) Two Iowa residents from a city that once hosted an AdSurfDaily meeting attended by Andy Bowdoin have filed a pro se motion to set aside the forfeiture in the case.
The motion, which used the Curtis Richmond litigation blueprint, was filed by Michael and Joyce Haws of Ankeny. ASD member Mindy Bales hosted a March gathering at an Ankeny restaurant that brought in $900,000, Bales told the Des Moines Register last year.
A similar meeting in July 2008 at an Ankeny golf club fetched $1.6 million, Bales told the newspaper. It is unclear if Michael and Joyce Haws joined ASD at the Ankeny meetings.
Their filing accuses the prosecutors and judges involved in the case of crimes. At the same time, it also appears to frame a strange argument against prosecutors’ assertions last month that filings such as Richmond’s will lead to unconscionable delays in obtaining justice for rank-and-file ASD members.
Rather than countering prosecutors’ argument about the prospect of Richmond-like pro se pleadings delaying justice, the document appears to suggest the prosecutors should be ignored because they are merely stating opinions.
Prosecutors last month responded to three pro se pleadings using the Richmond blueprint by filing a memorandum that addressed all three pleadings in the same document, rather than filing an individual document for each pleading.
Today’s filing, however, suggests that prosecutors now will have to file yet another response, which could lead to even more delays in the case — exactly what the prosecutors warned against last month.
The filing by Michael and Joyce Haws also appears to ignore a pro se pleading filed by Andy Bowdoin that acknowledged ASD was operating illegally at the time federal agents seized tens of millions of dollars last summer. One of the arguments in the document by the Haws is that the government interfered with commerce by taking action in the forfeiture case.
How the Haws intend to demonstrate it is legal to participate in an enterprise Bowdoin himself deemed illegal is unclear. It also is possible the Certificate of Service in the document is defective in multiple places for not including a date.
Richmond is associated with a sham Utah “Indian” tribe known for nuisancing public officials and filing bizarre legal motions. He was convicted in 2007 of contempt of court for threatening federal judges, and was ordered to pay resitution last year to public officials who brought a RICO lawsuit against members of the tribe.
And to think, if these people were to sue Mindy Bales in county court they’d very likely get there money back. sad.

yes and she is very exposed on this legally. She also cannot again claim bankruptcy so anyone who gets a judgement on her can go after whatever assets etc she has and will get them, sold on the courthouse steps

You are of course correct, but I’ll give odds that the Haws twins are winners…..so couldn’t sue Mindy. However, it’s great that they are now publicly known, so THEIR downlines can sue them (and hopefully can manage to wrangle their own criminal indictment).
Oh if only the Judge and DA would put a stop to this and finish this up!
I’m not 100% on this but I beleive Joyce Haws was the person who was listed on the ASD site to contact, if you wanted a rally in your hometown. She set up the rallies in Minneapolis April 26th Rohester MN May 17th and Vegas May 31. Also didn’t her name appear in CLance Busby’s first filings with the courts as an invester with Golden Panda?
Don’t look know but I wouldn’t be surprised if Joyce is Mindy sponser. One more thing, I’m surprised by this fileing becasues I heard the Haws’s live in Mexico now and are not planning on coming back.
I’m sorry I forgot to say I do know that Joyce was in ASD way be for the March 08 rally in Iowa. I would guess to say september of 07 maybe earlier.

Mindy Bales is a crook, she not only gathered all this money in her hometown, well knowing Andy was a crook, she then purportedly took it to a ASD Rally. Ill tell you what most people, just like Mindy Bales probably did, they took the money from the others, deposited some with ASD but deposited a health amount in her own bank account, Then she transferred some of her Cash Balance Account, in the form of AdPacs to the new Members account. A potential new ASD member, in her downline, gives Mindy a check for $5000, made out to her, so she could get a cashiers check and take it to the rally and get 7500 ADPacs at a 150% match. All she has to do is deposit the check in ger own account, then transfer to the new member 7500 ADPACS from herv growing account. She pockets $5000 of nin reported income, cash in hand. The new member sees the 7500 ADPACS in his account, he is happy, Mindy is happy, Andy is happy UNTIL the Feds raid the place and several things happen 1) New Members checks, collected by Mondy, converted to cashiers checks and deposited as they should have been at the rally, end up seized by the Feds on Auguat 4th, then, AS I ALWAYS HAVE CONTENDED, were illegally endorsed and deposited in one of several old and NEW accounts at BofA, accounts seized and/or controlled by the seizure order, People ask for copies of the cashiers checks so they can file a “proof of claim”
2)Checks given to Mindy were deposited directly in Mindy’s personal account and she transferred AdPacs from her account to new members accounts. The Feds seize the money and freeze all accounts. A few new members see the AdPacs posted to their account, some dont see anything, BUT everyone wants a copy of the cashiers check MINDY got to take to the rally OPPS, no copy of a cashiers check, its all a scam within a scam, no=w the look to Mindy for their money, alls fine I guess if Mindy hasnt spent a dime of the money, right??

Joyce Haws worked for ASD, as a paid employess and as one who, like all of Andy’s accomplices in the know, was “gifted” with AdPacs for her participation. Among other duties, Joyce was the person in charge of setting up the ASD Sales Rallies, she was the “convention coordinator”. Mindy Bales and almost everyone in Iowa was in Robert Fava’a downline, Fava, probably one of the biggest winners in ASD hosted many on the larger Convention Rally’s. He hosted the Miami rally I attended. Fava is low life, twice convicted of exposing himself to minors and out on parole, who Andy recruited to reel the people in..
They are all part of the ASD winners tring their best to stop the court from finding ASD a PONZI. Not only did Bales take millions from her hometown people, she also was involved in one of the ASD winners biggest scam within the scam..
Tnhey would find potential new Members, have them issue checks to themselves under the premise they would go to a upcoming rally to purchse AdPacs, with a 100%, 75% or 50% match. Instead of converting the personal checks to cashiers checks, they would take many of the checks, deposit them into their own personal account, and simply transfer ADPACS from their cash account. The new member would never know, or care, because they had their AdPacs in their new account.. All well and fine, UNTIL the bust and seizure.
Now everyone is asking their uplines and people who went to the rallies for copies of the cashiers checks so a Proof of Claim could be filed.. Opps, no copy of a cahiers check, no proof of claim, just a claim against Bales,,, Good Luck..
Andy, Fava and many other big time winners promoted this practice.. Im sure they all reported that money as income, right??

So as you are now claiming that you lost $5,500.00 I guess as a big time know er of all facts and the one who has uncovered all this great information as you are claiming then how come you did not do your “Due Diligence?

Thx for the good information. Let’s hope that as things progress, the Iowa AG (and MIndy’s bankruptcy judge) get involved and make sure that the big Iowa ASD winners get the justice they deserve. There’s an extra special place waiting for Fava as well, and as for the Haws, to all the AVG believers out there, there is a reason that the Haws’ left the country and aren’t coming back…..
There is a rumor in my small group of “networking” friends that the Haws were on of members who got their bank accounts frozen.

Besides, I’d think the DOJ, FBI and Secret Service are fully capable of doing their own investigations; they seem to have been able to do so long before they ever heard of Bob Guenther.
