ASDMBA Website Offline; Registration Lapsed Yesterday

UPDATED 9:23 P.M. EDT (U.S.A.) The ASDMBA website appears to be back online. Our earlier story is below . . .

The website of the ASD Members Business Association — asdmba.com — is offline. ASDMBA’s domain registration appears to have expired yesterday, and the site now resolves to a GoDaddy.com page that displays ads.

Bob Guenther, ASDMBA’s de facto head, came under fire this year, after some members said Guenther did not provide transparent accounting on how the entity spent money it collected to litigate on behalf of members of AdSurfDaily Inc.

Guenther, 61, recently said the group intended to ramp up efforts to get refunds for members of Florida-based ASD and Georgia-based Golden Panda Ad Builder Inc., two autosurf implicated in an alleged $100 million Ponzi scheme.

“So now it is time to round up all the troops again and get ready to try and ‘GO GET THE MONEY,'” Guenther said.

Guenther has been highly critical of the Justice Department, lecturing a federal prosecutor in an email and saying he planned to rely on unnamed “political connections” to embarrass the government.

  1. I’m certain Bob’s enormous following in the ASDMBA will be gravely disappointed the informative website (which Bob claims get’s thousands of hits a day) is no long available to them. It was expensive..I mean the most expensive web site one could possibly own..surely big, important Bob Guenther can dig deep into his pocket and reactivate it. We’ll see.

  2. Well, GO Daddy is what, $39 a month? And Bob listed how many thousands of dollars in his “accounting” for web site maintenance and development? I’m shocked, shocked I tell ya.

  3. Dont you guys do ANY research before you post stuff.. Everytime I give you credit for a good piece of journalistic reporting you go off on something like this.

A little research will show the site was “Parked” at Go Daddy.. Parked by my request while I and my lawyers decided how to proceed with some upcoming action regarding ASD, Panda and the ASDMBA…

That site was back up around 5pm.. Sites go up and down all the time, some for maintenance and up grades.

You take the time to report something like this, but I dont see your report on my case in Maricopa County.. Guess the reason is everyone that spewed wrong info about me going to jail etc etc etc has egg on their face and its not news.. I would ask you to check the Maricopa County records and do a followup on your story posted below:

Guenther Has More Legal Troubles In Arizona April 11, 2009

I will be more than happy to explain the outcome, why it was recorded the way it was AND what now happens in the pursuit of justice for thousands of people defrauded out of around $100Million by Founder Gary Whiting, CoFounder Fred Gagon and CEO Tim Jensen.. If you want a “scoop” instead of reprinting things that have already happened I will be glad to share some verifiable information with you and direct the thousands of people to your site for updates, as long as you keep them factual…

Pretty Patrick could actually help these injured people….

  4. And yet, still no accounting to the people you took money from.

  5. Bob Guenther: Parked by my request while I and my lawyers decided how to proceed with some upcoming action regarding ASD, Panda and the ASDMBA…

The domain expired Oct. 28. GoDaddy parks domains automatically if they are not renewed by/on the expiration date. The domains then default to a page that displays ads.

asdmba.com returned to “live” status at some point during the day on Oct. 29, one day after the expiration. The domain was renewed for another year.

  6. In stead of coming out and telling the truth like “opps, forget to renew the domain” OR not write anything at all about it like most people would do..Bob Guenther goes to great lengths to make up the story “A little research will show the site was “Parked” at Go Daddy.. Parked by my request while I and my lawyers decided how to proceed with some upcoming action regarding ASD, Panda and the ASDMBA…”. Bob Guenther would be hard pressed to find ANYONE who believes ANYTHING he writes.

  7. Patrick, you and i both know the “parked at request of my lawyers” is crap. The domain expired. Any “real man” would just admit, Hey, I forgot to send in a renewal. But not our Bobbie, it has to be either some secret planning on his or his lawyer’s part, or a conspiracy (like the person or persons that “hacked” one of his Ning accounts). The lengths to which Bobbie will go to fluff up and embellish any simple statement is a symptom of a much larger problem.

Add to this his “marauding for justice” persona and once more, heads are shaking. I bet he has a flowing cape for each day of the week, and for each of his “I’ll get your money back for a donation” crusades. If only it wasn’t so sad….

  8. kathy: Bob Guenther would be hard pressed to find ANYONE who believes ANYTHING he writes.

And, more importantly, “Not only would Bob Guenther be hard pressed to find ANYONE who believes ANYTHING he writes, he’d also be hard pressed to find ANYONE who cares about ANYTHING he says or does”

Still, I suppose everyone should have a hobby.

Some people find great joy collecting small bits of sticky paper from envelopes and sticking them in books.

While others enjoy impaling brightly coloured butterflies with pins under sheets of glass.

    And some of us,

well, some of us enjoy poking fun at loudmouthed failed car salesman with delusions of grandeur on internet blogs and forums.

    Different strokes, I guess.

  9. You can always depend on the Ning 9 to show up on the blogs, they have no life except their dillusional internet life..

If you have no interest, why comment?? When I have no interest in something, I ignore it..

And how about the rest Patrick.. Why not do some real jounalistic reporting?? How about a followup story and report on my case being adjudicated in my favor, then why not investigate Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment and Gary Whiting, or do you do investigative reporting??

Why not update your story below, posted April 11th..

  11. How about some real transparency to those you took money from?

  12. Bob, since you are here, checking up on the people who have no life, then you must also fall into that same despised grouping. How sad for you. The link you posted above doesn’t work, it takes you to the main page, since it is a search result. Had you checked your information, you would know that. So much for your “truth”.

  13. For anyone wondering about my whereabouts, please be rest assured that I am alive and well… I decided to bring everyone a message. The forums and chats are filled with bitterness and animosity towards one another. I have set down my baseball bat intended for Fester… I love ya’ buddy, and would never crack your skull in two…
All I can say is: “he who is without sin, swing the bat first.”

I forgive everyone… Life is short, lets go on with life, and to the fullest. Lets seize the day.

Sorry if I offended you Don, Patrick, Kathy, littleroundman,Fester, dirty_bird, alasycia, marci,Sicilian, GlimDropper, Lynndel Edgington, Entertained, Guenther, Gregg Evans, Jack Arons, Wizzard, and whomever else i may have offended.

This is Patricks’ website. You don’t have to agree or disagree simply separate the wheat from the chaff. There is truth in all.

    Steve Watt AKA Carpe diem

  14. Steve,

Does that mean I am no longer the official forum pole dancer? lol

You need to understand that people get very upset seeing people being ripped off and even more upset when it happens to them. People who promote ponzi programmes shouldnt be suprised if people here dont welcome them with open arms.

Does this post mean you are no longer recruiting and involved in them?

  15. alasycia: Does that mean I am no longer the official forum pole dancer? lol

The skeptics here will want a prospectus when we do our due diligence. ;-)

We can vote when Patrick flies us all to the Naysayers 2010 Convention in Tahiti (or is it Scranton, PA?) since we all support his hidden agenda.

But seriously, Steve’s “retirement” has to be due to one of the following:

    1. He genuinely sees that these programs are harmful.

    2. Since these programs are illegal and almost everyone loses their money, being a serial promoter has a downside in the form of some very upset people.

    3. Legal action, by authorities or someone following his advice, has been taken.

    4. His losses were mounting.

    5. It’s time to go anonymous and hide the real life ID.

  16. Gee, Steve,

Why the sudden change in attitude, I’m kind of worried there may be an illness involved. Or perhaps this is part of the “making amends” in a multi-step program? Either way, forgive me if I am skeptical. If you are sincere, your apology is accepted.

  17. dirty_bird: But seriously, Steve’s “retirement” has to be due to one of the following:

My vote is 3, 4 and 5, but not necessarily in that order.

  18. Tony H: My vote is 3, 4 and 5, but not necessarily in that order.

His site is still live with Patrick Moriarty as the featured story. You’d think he’d take it down or put up a “sayonara” page. I guess not, at least not yet. The old pages can still be found at http://www.archive.org

  19. I’m pretty sure no one was worried about a scammers whereabouts.
But he felt the need to try to get some of the attention off blubbering bob as his jealousy got the best of him as always happens with scammers.
