Is Anybody Home At AdViewGlobal?
We are beginning to receive reports that AdViewGlobal (AVG) has not posted daily paper profits since July 3 for members who surfed.
Some AVG members seem not to know whether they even are supposed to surf. The external shell of the site loaded quickly today, which may indicate a lighter server load because fewer people are surfing.
“Support tickets are not being answered,” one member said.
The member said that AVG awarded her a paper profit of a penny for surfing a few days ago and a total of 35 cents over a two-week period. For its part, AVG said last week that it expected to become a Fortune 500 company.
“[W]e have received nothing in monetary, or any other, terms since July 3, 2009,” the member said, adding that there was “a growing anxiety and frustration with the new leadership: George and Judi Harris.”
George Harris is the stepson of AdSurfDaily President Andy Bowdoin. Judy Harris is the wife of George Harris. The Harrises are named in a federal forfeiture complaint filed in December as the beneficiaries of illegal conduct by ASD.
Only recently has AVG disclosed that George and Judy Harris owned the firm, which purports to be a professional advertising and communications company based in Uruguay.
AVG issued a news release last month with a dateline of Tallahassee, Fla. A home owned by the Harrises in Tallahassee was seized in the December forfeiture complaint. Prosecutors said George Harris, whom ASD President Andy Bowdoin identified last year as the head of ASD’s real-estate division, used $157,000 in illegal ASD proceeds to pay off the mortgage on the home.
In other news, eWalletPlus, a money-services firm associated with AVG, is back online — though apparently not fully functional. The site had disappeared last week, but then came back online. It did not fully load at a point over the weekend, but appears to be loading now. New registrations, however, are marked disabled.
eWalletPlus is listed as being owned by TMS Association. TMS Association is listed in Arizona records as a business that conducts merchant services. Like AVG, the servers for eWalletPlus resolve to Panama.
Whoever said AVG will be gone by the end of July: Kudos to your prediction!
Amen Sicilian, and it wasn’t even the government. Where are the AVGA pro posters now? Joe L. and Chris and others?
I was reading back through some posts on ASD-biz and forgot some names like “adman” “joey” and several others. Most are the same Joes and what nots that come here. AVG is dead this “infant” “fortune 500” company was nothing but a scam. And you’re right……….there’s no “evil” government or “attack of Satan.”
Let’s not forget Ryan Wade who had the first ASD board, either.
Sicilian..Adman was Andy..Joey may be the little Joe..the Joey from months back on the Biz forum was in much need of anger management classes.
The Joe who defended AVGA to the end just might have been Joe Shoop. Also, the Surf’s up crowd inherited Ryan Wade’s AD Surf Zone, original ASD forum.
You guys are all wrong I’m none of those people. AVGA is having a tough time right now that’s for sure but there are things going on in an effort to save it. Myself I think they should just forget all about the advertising and just get set up like a few of the others out there, you know the ones that are doing so well that you never say a word about. You want to know the real truth, I could give a shit less if it’s legal or not, our whole banking system in this country is a ponzi it’s just legalized.I wasn’t in ASD but I can tell you this much, no one was losing money and no one was complaining. Whether you like it or not the people lost money because the government took it plain and simple. There are some really bad scams out there that take peoples last dollar but these were not designed to do that and i think Patrick is a closet ASD member(and perhaps more) who lost money. You shouldn’t be mad at ASD Patty talk to your government. Now God willing we can fix AVG and join the ranks of a couple of these others where everyone is so happily making money unless of course the government steps in but that won’t be as easy this time. Oh and by the way you all give yourself way way way to much credit, your fairly invisible to most everyone out there and even if not you had zero effect on what’s happening at AVGA. I know this for a fact because I know precisely what happened with Donna and trust me for one second it had nothing to do with you or any comments, questions you had, nothing you did. You actually have a couple of you who seem halfway intelligent but the rest, about 98% are just making halfassed comments and just following and jumping on the band wagon like lemmings. Even the other 2 percent are just speculating 99% of the time. You wondered where I was, Ive been around and lucky for me I have a few things going on so if AVG goes down because of their pisspoor management it wont be the first time and it won’t hurt me. Patrick, if you want to step up to the next level you need to stop reporting like the National Inquirer. You do you lie and twist things around. I’ll give one quick example although there are more, I never said Joe would benefit from a penis enlargement, it’s probably true but that isn’t what I said. Read the archived posts and you’ll see I didn’t. I know you didn’t use my name on the quote but who else would it be since I did say something about it concerning someone not even involved here. Let’s see how it goes with AVGA, I sure wouldn’t want to see you lose such a great enemy then what would you do?
Joe, none of your post makes any sense. Was there a cogent idea there?
I guess not to you, (see previous post about lemmings)
Don:
You have to understand that joe spent all this time telling everyone how legal AVGA was, how great of a company it was, how it was going to be this major Internet force for online advertising; and then they pulled the rug out from under him leaving him high and dry. So instead of being upset with them, he is upset with us because we told him so. He is also mad because the “evil government” did not come in and shut it down like they did ASD, and that means he can’t blame the “evil government” for its demise.
Now he knows it was a Ponzi, always was a Ponzi, and he can’t deal with it.
Poor ol’ Joe,
A perfect example of the old maxim: “Tell a lie often enough and, to many people, it becomes the truth”
He’s fallen for the “Social security/banking system/paper money is a ponzi” routine expounded by the HYIP ponzi “autosurf” crew.
AND
to make it worse, he’s using the oft repeated B/S theory of lemmings “suiciding” to prove his point.
A little tip for you, “Joe”
when researching, try looking further than the first fact which seems to fit YOUR version of the outcome you’re seeking.
That way you’re less likely to lose MORE money as you most certainly have with AVG, and, you’ll have a greater appreciation of how the world REALLY works.
I could give a shit less if it’s legal or not
Well joe – and I’m not really interested in speculating who you are – THAT says it all- doesn’t it?
The whole world economy is in trouble because of people like you who think they have the right to earn unrealistic amounts of money from whatever business they happen to be in at the time. The uncontrolled wheeling and dealing that has been going on over the past decade which has taken no account of the real and possible returns of the core businesses, has been largely responsible for the mess many people are in all over the world – jobless, homeless and without future They have concentrated on the “grab for the dollar” without thought for the medium and long term consequences – and look what a mess it has caused.
It yuo have a field of wheat, however well is is husbanded, there is a maxium quantity that it can produce. If you want a double quantity, you have to invest in a new field and cultivate a second crop. Businesses are no different. They have their maximum possibilities and need further investment to expand beyond a certain point.
Autosurfs and other “internet marketing” schemes are no different. Amway, Avon, Mary Kaye, etc make profits because, whether or not you like their selling system, they are known for their products, not their payment plans. Businesses based on “non products” or those which have little value, such as closed advertising rotators can never generate the kind of return on product sale and, as they are illegal because they have to pay old members with new member money and because they are no more than unregistered securities.
Your self righteous indignation does no more than show what values you and your fellow promoters of these schemes really have. The argument that the “advertising” works is so much bull. ASD and AVGA are just closed Traffic Exchanges and they do not charge 1$ for a hit or ten hits. Yopu can buy thousands for very little on the honest TEs. I was a member of ASD for a long time and advertised a real product that I do sell worldwide. My small purchase/investment never produced the level of sales that would have merited a ad purchase over a 100$. As it was, the accumulated advertising credits/page views I had were never used up, the ads were rarely seen during the last few months of ASD’s life – and that was with a supposed viewing membership of over 120,000 people. The same is true for the many members that I knew. But you know that, and I suspect that, as long as there is a buck in it for you, you couldn’t care less about the consequences. Great values to pass onto your kids!
joe,
I am afraid you need to do a fair bit more studying on the laws and math of Ponzi schemes if you think the bank system is a Ponzi (do you think social security is as well? If so, study some more). Also, nice of you to come out and admit that you don’t care about the fact that AVG is illegal, and that you are admitting to being a serial scammer. Heck of a way to make a living…..
Surf’s Up is now deleting everything about avga.
So joe, for the people that have sent in $5, 10, 20 thousand or more with the promise that it would double or better instantly, where are these people and all of the rest supposed to go for information?
And you want to believe that AVGA is regrouping for a turn around? What happened to the “we learned from past mistakes”, “we have top level management” and blah, blah, blah.
Once more people’s lives have been greatly affected and relationships within families and former friends will never be the same. Meanwhile, George, Judy, Andy, & Faye have had a pretty good run.
You are right Cathy, even the Biz Group for AVGA has gone. Strange thing, given that the Mods are Founders of AVGA. They clearly know what is going on, or, better said, isn’t going on.
Don’t kn ow about Surf’s Up – it looks more like the Game’s Up to me.
From the AVGA Breaking News – blaming Syndicate Digital this time. Well at least it gives the members a rest. lol
News from George and Judi
Negotiations between the owners of AVGA and Syndicate Digital broke down Thursday afternoon. The split occurred after a lengthy conversation between the two parties regarding liability and accountability for AVGA. It seems that, once again, AVGA has lost a valuable relationship. The current owners of AVGA, the members and the company itself are plagued with relentless gossip and negative press. Syndicate Digital was a sub contractor hired to do a specific job and there is some dispute as to whether or not they have completed their contract with AVGA. The negotiations broke down while negotiating a new management and consultant contract. The owners and members of AVGA are in a very precarious position right now and expected the new business plan to be implemented up until Thursday afternoon. AVGA has a very viable business plan but at the moment they do not have the web development team in place to implement the plan. We are working to identify a new web development team so that AVGA can offer products and services. Also we will have to put a freeze on everything until all of the mentioned issues above are worked out. Staff changes as well as adding products and services take time and are setbacks. We will do our best to get back on track and hope that everyone has the faith and fortitude to stick with us.
George and Judi
Shouldn’t be too hard to find another sucker company to offer their banners and business cards. thanks Jenny for posting.
BTW, wonder where the negative press is coming from? Certainly cannot be from here as joe stated,
“Oh and by the way you all give yourself way way way to much credit, your fairly invisible to most everyone out there and even if not you had zero effect on what’s happening at AVGA. I know this for a fact because I know precisely what happened with Donna “
So what happened to the alleged crack web development team they had and were allegedly selling the wares for before this syndicate digital showed up?
This was touted as their alleged outside revenue to make believe they weren’t a ponzi.
Joe,
Lemmings? I happen to like Lemmings, especially in pies. One of my favorites is Lemming Meringue Pie!! Yummy !!!
But still, you are fighting a losing war, no amount of obstreperous blather can make up for what AVGA really is and is soon to become… illegal and defunct. No amount of belated BS is going to make it into something it’s not, a real company.
I’ll take a bushel of Lemmings, thanks…
From the “horse’s mouth”, an acknowledgement that they haven’t been offering products or services previously. Very interesting admission, it seems.
From the “horse’s mouth”, an acknowledgement that they haven’t been offering products or services previously. Very interesting admission, it seems.
My favorite also! Lemming meringue pie!
Hasn’t been too bad.
joe, your last comment wasn’t even funny. One the one hand you defend AVGA saying it is legal and then on the other hand you turn round and say you couldnt care less if it is illegal.
I sincerely hope you didnt mean your comment about illegality – but if you did, it reminds us WHY there are laws against illegal business – to stop people getting burnt by people without consciences.
alasycia,
joe is smart enough to know exactly what he said. He is admitting to being a serial criminal scammer and has said he doesn’t care if his actions or AVG’s are illegal or not (and of course, he’s shown a great “command” of the English language and a true scammer’s inability to answer real questions directly — check out his most recent “I know something you don’t” post”). Undoubtably he is a small enough fry that the government has not (yet) busted him, but he’s an admitted crook just the same…..
More copyrighted, hush hush, private membership goodness from the AVGA Breaking News section:
“Moving Forward
Members,
We, the owners and members of AVGA realize that the true valuable relationships are with one another. The loyalty and commitment to the success of this company and to the success of each other is “a testament to the character of our members” Thousands of members are expressing support and many are coming forward with solutions.
Update:
Negotiations between the owner’s of AVGA and a stable, highly professional and proven team of professionals is underway. These professionals understand how important this family of thousands is to each other, and they are committed to implementing a strong, viable business plan. The overwhelming reception to the AVGA business model has been extremely encouraging and the cooperation we are receiving from this new team is impressive. We have made it abundantly clear to this new management team that should we decide to hire them that our contract will include an exit strategy that works in the best interest of both parties. Additionally, the contract considers provisions of non disclosure and non-compete clauses that benefit both parties. The owner’s of AVGA are very trusting individuals. The lessons learned over the past year have been many but the most valuable lesson of all is this – The members have no intention of giving up on this company and the vision. The breaking news is going to be utilized regularly to communicate our progress to the membership. Once we are prepared to reveal the detailed plan of action, we will host a conference call for the members and introduce the new additions to our plan. Please know that we are working as quickly as possible to implement new management and solutions, and we anticipate 30 days will be required.
On a personal note, George, and I want to express how proud we are of you, our members. The support and commitment our members are demonstrating during this time are amazing, and we are taking every possible measure to ensure your success.
Sincerely,
Judy Harris”
End Quote.
I’m not a literary critic but using the word “professional” three times in the first two sentences of the “update” section has to violate one of Strunk and White’s Elements of style. The cynic in me sees it as an intentional elaboration, as if repeating the word would somehow indicate to the faithful that Judy understands their mounting dissatisfaction with her and George in that regard and without acknowledging their obvious problems, tries to assure them they are being addressed. That effect is somewhat offset however by expressing a commitment to “implementing a strong, viable business plan,” insofar as that might be (cynically) read to indicate that their existing buisness plan is neither of those things.
So, subtext isn’t their strong suit but you can’t accuse them of trying to run and hide from their investors (er, the people who bought advertising). Sure they removed their member forum but that was just too confusing with all those questions that people kept asking but at least they reaffirmed their commitment to keeping the members in the loop by holding a conference call, sometime next month (or so).
I read the Breaking News article, and it struck me how little respect the “Owners” of AVGA have for their members.
OK, some of them are Junior Professional Scammers, and some of them are the nameless professional “playas”, but there are, amongst the ranks, people who truly believed their recruiters when they said AVGA was a legal way to get their ASD losses back.
And this is the woman who said that Andy Bowdoin would never do anything that would “damage his relationship with Our Lord”?………….
GD,
Thx for posting. Can’t wait for the copyright lawsuit….
My favorite line: “We have made it abundantly clear to this new management team that should we decide to hire them that our contract will include an exit strategy that works in the best interest of both parties.”
Both parties of course being the Harris Scammers and the new professional scammers they are bringing in. They want to make sure that during this terminal phase of AVG they get their maximum $$$$. One would think that these professionals would use wording like “best interests of our members…” but of course, the best interests of the members is about as far from the true objective of the Harris’s as is possible……
Well we do at least get a threat. Latest from the AVG breaking news:
Begin Quote:
COPYRIGHY INFRINGMENT
Members,
It has been brought to our attention that some members are copying and pasting information from the Ad View Global website. This is just a reminder that everything contained in the Ad View Global website including The Breaking News is subject to copyright laws. Ad View Global does not take the act of copyright infringement lightly. Any member caught breaking these rules or allowing someone access to their account in order to break these rules are in jeopardy of having their membership canceled and being banned from Ad View Global. This includes but is not limited to copy and pasting The Breaking News and sending it in an e-mail to anyone.
End Quote.
First off they misspelled both copyright and infringement, I suppose next they’ll accuse me of lible and slandre. It’s interesting that they issue no threats to websites where their precious secrets are actually published, but rather warn that the ones leaking the information will faces the loss of membership rights to their dying ponzi program. I salute their inadvertent acknowledgment of reality. They will never risk stepping foot in a court of law voluntarily even if they did have a legitimate claim, which they don’t in this case.
The only real threat they can issue is revocation of membership, but at the same time they can’t exactly afford to keep new people from joining their program so even if they do figure out who to ban it would take me all of three minutes to rejoin under a new name.
Ah – but you have forgotten that the “Doubting Thomases” who reproduce AVGA “copyrighted material”, may have money invested (oops, sorry advertising purchased) and will lose their clicks!
