UPDATED 3:58 P.M. ET (U.S.A.): A mass shooting this morning at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., reportedly has resulted in 27 deaths, including the death of the presumptive shooter. Twenty of the victims were children, authorities said this afternoon.
Earlier reports had put the death toll of children at 18. Precise details about the circumstances under which the shooting occurred remain unclear.

Reuters is now reporting the gunman was the 20 year old son of the first teacher shot.
This is just terrible. What kind of mother was this woman who raised this monster?

I doubt the Mom had a lot to do with the son being mentally ill and she probably overlooked the signs the kid was sick, like many do. It is only after something happens do people begin associating things, when it is all too late.
Remember, he shot his Mom first, according to the news. I doubt she planned that.
