Affiliate Links Show That Surf’s Up Mod And ASD Members Hold High Positions In Upstart Surf: Things To Consider If You Are Tempted To Join AdPayDaily
Here is a snippet from another post on the APD Blog:
“Attention all APD Reps an exciting New APD promotion. Effective immediately, any Rep who signs up at least 3 new advertisers who purchase a minimum of $300 each, will earn a 200% Ad Point Bonus on the new advertisers sales. In addition, the Rep who signs up 3 new advertisers who make the minimum purchase ,will receive a 200% Ad Point bonus on their own purchases, thru midnight Sunday night June 13th, 2010, once the sell Rep has completed the qualification of signing up the 3 New Reps. or Advertisers.”
So, APD is using a free Blog hosted on WordPress to flog a surfing program. Its contribution to the WordPress community to date is flog APD and to announce that APD accepts credit cards (amid a claim that such acceptance adds “additional creditability”), and also to flog a “bonus” program that prompts reps to sign up three people willing to spend $300 each.
It looks to us as though APD has taken a look at Judge Rosemary Collyer’s November 2008 ruling that pointed out some of the shortcomings of the ASD business model and has tried to fashion a surfing enterprise that can avoid some of the obvious pitfalls. APD, for example, attempts to make distinctions between members and advertisers.
This is from the FAQ’s on the APD site (italics added):
How do I make money with Ad Pay Daily?
By registering as a Rep, selling advertising and viewing 20 websites every day
How do I advertise on Ad Pay Daily?
By registering as an Advertiser and purchasing Web Credits from Ad Pay Daily
When I register as a Rep, am I also an Advertiser?
No. Two different registrations are required.
Their “business” address (according to the http://www.AdPayDaily.com website) is 11184 Antioch Road, #323, Overland Park, Kansas. There are numerous alleged businesses at that address, but 3 strike a chord – 2 are virtual offices, but I would vote for the third – The UPS Store. The “323” in their address is probably the drop box by that number. Nothing but the best accommodations for the staff of this autosurf, huh?
