Roster: Are These Autosurfs In Litigation? Troubled?

miseryindexBack in August we began to cover AdSurfDaily Inc., a Florida company accused of being an illegal enterprise. Federal prosecutors said ASD, an autosurf, was selling unregistered securities by calling itself an “advertising” company and running a $100 million Ponzi scheme.

A sister site, LaFuenteDinero, was named in the same federal forfeiture complaint. So was GoldenPandaAdBuilder, a site reportedly conceived on a Georgia fishing lake as a “Chinese” option for ASD members. The site reportedly came to fruition after talks between ASD President Andy Bowdoin and Clarence Busby, who went on to become the operator of Golden Panda.

Golden Panda has officially dissolved its articles of incorporation and removed its claim to funds seized in the ASD probe. The case still is in litigation.

Since August, a number of other autosurfs have appeared, some positioning themselves as attractive alternatives to ASD. At least two of them — MegaLido and Frogress — already have failed.

We decided to keep a running chart of autosurfs. Names will be added over time, as readers contact us or we learn independently of their operations. One of the purposes of this chart is to get a sense about how many autosurfs are involved in litigation, are operating in troubled fashion or are operating freely.

  1. Need to add Biz Ad Splash, that Clarence Busby is supposed to be backing, registered in Panama I believe to the list.

  2. Hi Lynn,

Thanks for the note. I added it and have listed it as undeclared ownership. The IP resolves to Panama.

    Patrick

  3. Patrick,

I’d add Noobing, an outfit with some of the same people involved as ASD

  4. Hi Entertained,

I’ve added Noobing. Another reader mentioned this one to me, as well.

    Patrick

  5. Brand new one being hawked on the ASD Advocates site — Infinity 800

  6. ….and another….I am playing whack-a-mole today…..Push Button Extreme, another one being pushed by an ASD’er

  7. Anyone have recent information on Bizad Splash, or a link to where I might find some. I have searched pretty exhaustively myself. However I have only recently become aware of this ponzi world due to watching the solicitation and duping of unfortunate friends.

Thanks for any assistance and/or info

  10. Tater,

Lots of references out there — BizAdSplash is 100% pure Ponzi…..and by the way, Clarence Busby, an ASD insider, is a big player in BAS. ASD turned out so well that we now have the main guy (Bowdoin) stating that it was a Ponzi all along. Avoid BAS (and every other HYIP).

  11. THANKS for the help and for the information. It is just mind boggling to see how people can delude themselves into this kind of racket. I see that they also network through religious groups and churches. Why am I not surprised?

The funniest part of the solicitation I heard, was that “BAS has been reviewed and given clearance on its business plan by the US gov’t” OK, $500 for the first person who can tell me what branch or office of Fed, State, or local government is charged with reviewing business plans and issuing gold stars for NOT being a criminal enterprise! LoL… :-)

    Tater,

The funny part is that Andy Bowdoin from ASD actually tried this strategy. He was getting too much flack from Internet critics to he took his business model the the Florida Attorney General’s Office to get the “gold seal of approval” to match his “Presidential Medal of Distinction”….that’s when they opened up an investigation…

    LoL!

This sounds more like a Dukes of Hazard episode than an actual $100 million dollar criminal conspiracy!
